Modernizing UI for Global Project Tracking

The Challenge: An international software provider for construction and facility management required a robust system for high-stakes project documentation. The platform needed to support multiple users simultaneously documenting concerns during the construction phase and then transition into a building maintenance system post-delivery. The primary challenge was creating a responsive, interactive user interface that could handle complex data entry without sacrificing performance or data integrity.

O&B’s Role: O&B engineered a modern, high-performance solution utilizing Backbone.js (JavaScript/AJAX) for the front-end and a Spring/Hibernate architecture for the backend. We focused on creating a seamless UI that allowed for real-time updates and issue tracking, ensuring that data remained consistent across all users. Our flexible partnership model allowed us to adapt to the client’s existing working style while introducing engineering best practices like Clean Code and TDD.

Healthcare Administration & Infrastructure

The Challenge: A specialized healthcare administration platform was designed to connect employers, employees, and insurance providers within a single digital ecosystem. However, to achieve a successful and rapid market launch, the client needed to ensure their existing architecture could handle the high-security and high-scalability demands of the medical industry. They required an elite engineering partner to audit their “digital plumbing” and establish a roadmap for rapid feature delivery.

O&B’s Role: O&B initiated the partnership with a comprehensive systems review of the platform’s React-based frontend, backend, and AWS infrastructure. Following the audit, we deployed a “Foundation Squad” to set up the production environment and define business requirements, followed by a “Build Squad” to execute the roadmap.
